As an Agile coach, you help carry out cross-sector projects to meet objectives on time and on budget. You are responsible for initiating, planning and implementing various projects. You ensure best practices are followed, keep the focus on the overall project objective and support work teams.

You play a leadership role when working with stakeholders involved in development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your specialty area.

You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives. As a sector Agile coach, you help carry out cross-sector projects with a business sector in order to meet objectives on time and on budget.

You initiate, plan and implement (zone, Alliance) the sector’s overall Agile intervention strategy, aligning it with the organization’s strategic objectives in order to find solutions to complex business issues. To achieve this, you develop a systemic vision of the sector and its environment and take the sectoral reality into account.

You take on a leadership and influencer role when interacting with sector leaders and various stakeholders on complex cross-sector and highly innovative Agile development projects and strategic initiatives. In this regard, you help develop and recommend strategic orientations and the business positioning needed to implement agility across the sector based on best market practices.

You serve as expert advisor for Agile frameworks and as a resource person and coach for senior management, decision-making bodies and professionals. You are proficient in new agility trends (Agile@Scale, (Lean practice, continuous delivery, DevOps)) in order to explain them in a way that will ensure everyone understands the change.

A strategic mindset, systemic vision, organizational savvy and sound decision-making skills are therefore essential. Coordination is critical. You must interact with a very large number of stakeholders working in a variety of fields of expertise. Highly developed interpersonal skills are therefore essential.

• Take on a leadership and influencer role when working on strategic projects, in a complex intervention environment. Serve a cross-sector clientele of leaders and business experts in the implementation of a common, integrated and harmonized approach to the agility framework, ensuring the functioning of the scope of action. Demonstrate agility, work collaboratively and be open to client proposals while keeping in mind the objectives of the Agile approach
• Define the agility orientations and requirements in collaboration with the various stakeholders, in order to have an opportunity to use your know-how and people skills to influence a particular sector
• Define the scope of activity, in collaboration with the sector, in order to achieve its objectives and fully understand its fears, challenges and resistance, and provide it with the necessary support
• Evaluate the sector’s agility maturity, in collaboration with the managers, through a diagnostic of the client’s initial environment. Make recommendations on the overall Agile intervention strategy and ensure it is carried out
• Maintain an overview of the sector’s current and future context to seize improvement opportunities
• Coach the sector on the group’s capacity for permanent adaptation in response to an environment characterized by complexity and uncertainty, and focused on optimizing human potential
• Act as a servant leader and change agent to follow the evolution of agility for Desjardins Group and to raise stakeholder awareness regarding the imperatives tied to an Agile transition
• Provide mentoring on the general skills and the know-how related to agility at various levels: organization, Alliance, zone, team, individual
• Identify the skills development needs of the various key players in the sector and squad, and ensure the training is provided
• Align practices by ensuring ongoing coordination and alignment with the Agile coaches in the sector and those for Desjardins Group. Keep abreast of
• Agile development practices and disseminate them when appropriate to ensure the development of agility targets, maximizing the methodology framework in relation with best practices
• Lead the execution of all the steps, processes and actions for the sector in order to move a solution from the design stage to its use for the member and client, so that its value can be appreciated
• Organize and facilitate certain mechanisms of large-scale coordination between the squads
• Ensure the synchronization of the zone squads’ sprints and align their product backlogs (DoR, DoD, etc.)
• Meet your unit’s performance indicators and ensure client satisfaction
• Coach the professionals in your unit and those in other sectors. Identify training needs and issue recommendations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• Experience and proficiency in delivery methods, approaches and techniques—both Agile and traditional (Agile@Scale, Lean practice, continuous delivery, DevOps)
• Experience serving in an advisory capacity to a project clientele (an asset)
  Coaching and/or mentoring experience (an asset)

Certification PMP
PMI-ACP, CDAP or SAFe SPC certification, or have fulfilled all eligibility criteria of the certification, in terms of both knowledge and experience
For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
Specific knowledge

• Knowledge of OPMI, Jira, Confluence and SharePoint tools
• Proficiency in the basics of LESS, SAS or Nexus (an asset)
• Intermediate-advanced proficiency in English
