Senior Manager, Product Platforms
You will play a key role in shaping how Interac delivers its digital products, current and future, including real-time money movement (such as Interac e-Transfer) and eCommerce products.
As a Senior Manager, you will take responsibility for a significant part of the Interac digital platform. Grounded in the Interac product strategy and vision, you will determine platform strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and priorities, and work with cross-functional teams to make it come to reality. This is a highly collaborative role as you synthesize the needs of many stakeholders such as our product managers, financial institutions, end customers (businesses and individuals), and fintechs – while collaborating with many internal teams including development, operations, release management, implementation managers, and many others.
This position requires a blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

Working with the larger product management team to align on vision, strategy and roadmap for the platform
Specifying functional and non-functional requirements and providing ongoing direction to architects, developers, designers, testers, technical writers, and subject matter experts
Maintaining product backlog, facilitating prioritization exercises, and negotiating features and functionalities to be included in releases
Working with development teams and other stakeholders to understand the implications of decisions and make trade-offs
Acceptance testing of product features
Clearly documenting platform features, integration guides, and release notes; and reviewing such documentation produced by others
Defining and analyzing metrics that inform the success of the platform and its features
Analyzing the competitive landscape and monitoring and incorporating industry innovations
Developing financial cost models and business cases
Driving platform improvements to improve flexibility, reliability, simplicity, performance
Continual process improvement
Presenting to internal and external parties (financial institutions, acquirers, fintechs, etc.) and at conferences to champion our products and our vision

You have 10 years experience working with software engineers and business partners to define, build, launch, support, and grow technology-driven products and services; preferably in payments or transaction processing
You have practical experience with concepts of performance, scalability, resilience, security, RESTful APIs, microservices
You have a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, and product management experience
