Analyst, Global Procurement Full Time

What is the opportunity?

The Analyst, Global Procurement will be responsible for providing support to the sourcing team, supporting strategic sourcing initiatives for non-complex and complex deals across all sourcing categories including analytics of suppliers, contracts, deals, supporting supplier and category strategy and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships (Business Unit and Suppliers). This role is critical in efficiently executing non-complex sourcing requests that provide cost effective, sustainable solutions to RBC businesses, and optimizing total value generated from RBC’s supplier base.

What will you do?

• Contributes to the supplier strategy to maximize the effectiveness of procurement activity an alignment to the organization’s objectives
• Reviews supplier markets to determine potential suppliers that are capable of meeting the specifications and demand, and uses knowledge of specific
• supplier markets to support the development of supplier strategy
• Considers various pricing structures and whole life contract costs to determine the most applicable to the organization’s situation
• Supports deal negotiations to reach the best agreement for the organization and the supplier (on the right quality, quantity, cost, timing and source of supplies, materials, and services)
• Supports negotiation process for complex deals, and facilitates the negotiations for non-complex deals
• Prepares basic background documentation in support of the contract; conducts contract preparation for non-complex deals and provides support for complex contracts
• Drafts non-complex agreements such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), and Proof of Concept (POC) Agreements
• Prepares the evaluation of proposals to arrive at a recommendation; evaluates and selects suppliers based on the specification and evaluation criteria developed during the tendering process
• Validates price quotations and specifications of each proposal. These validations should identify deficiencies in each proposal and develops comparison tables for price, specifications, and other factors
• Manages procurement policies, processes and procedures to ensure the supplies of quality goods are acquired efficiently, on time and at a reasonable cost

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 2+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles and concepts in procurement
• Knowledge of accounting principles, cost analysis, standard costing
• Service Oriented Focus (Building Partnerships)
• Proven negotiation skills
