Senior Java Developer Full Time

What is the opportunity?

Acting as a Senior Technical Systems Analyst within the SWIFT & High Value Payments Technology team you will be working on building a new wire payments application and all the deployment phases. Once the application goes live you will support the maintenance and enhancements, and provide production support.

What will you do?

• Assess and analyze business and technical requirements in order to provide estimates on activities/tasks and establish detailed plans and timelines
• Identify risks, dependencies, assumptions and constraints that could impede any deliverables
• Design, code (when required), and test for functions of low to medium complexity
• Write unit test plans and provide coordination and support of testing
• Create, update and contribute to critical documentation relevant to the projects (SRS, TDD, Test Plans, Implementation Plans, etc.) as well as security and architecture requirements as defined by each project
• Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, various IT partners and 3rd party vendors
• Provide 7/24 production support on a rotating basis
• Participate in the design and implementation of the DevOps pipeline and monitoring and alerting systems

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a high pressure multi-technology environment supporting multiple applications
• Good knowledge of Application Development, System administration/maintenance and application support (Java/J2EE – EJB, WebServices, Spring, JSP, UNIX scripting)
• Familiarity with application security setup and programing (SSO, TLS, IPsec, HTTPS & Firewall)
• Good understanding of  multi-tiered Enterprise Application (MQ , Kafka, Elasticsearch, WAS ND, Oracle & any “high availability and fault tolerance” environment setup and supporting)
• Understanding of DevOps pipeline (including Jenkins setup, Maven, ANT, Ansible) and cloud-based-Openshift services
  Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-have

• Desire to learn the wire payments business and the functionality of the applications you would be supporting
• Experience with cloud technology
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and tools including Jira, Confluence
