Senior UX Designer Full Time

Our goal is to make every RBC Wealth Management customer touchpoint consistently outstanding. As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll provide UX direction to ensure the product embodies ease of use, drives user engagement and ultimately delivers a remarkable client experience that builds brand loyalty. You’ll simplify how our customers navigate our many products and services by expertly assessing user desirability, business feasibility and technical viability. Additionally, you will leverage our current UX/UI patterns, but also produce and test new ones. You’ll be right at home collaborating in an agile environment with a top-notch team of designers, strategists, and developers.

What will you do?

• Produce elegant digital experiences across all digital touch points, ensuring that responsive websites and apps are both usable, desirable, and striving to maximize user satisfaction
• Visualize and create high-level concepts quickly to demonstrate design ideas to clients and internal teams through wireframes, interactive prototypes or other representations.
• Ensure solutions support brand objectives, achieve business goals, and meet or exceed user needs and expectations
• Actively contribute to internal discussions, brainstorms and ideation sessions
• Actively contribute to the UX patterns library

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

• 5+ years working in the user experience field
• Portfolio demonstrating your problem-solving abilities and design process is required
• Deep understanding of, and experience with, user-centered design & research methodologies
• Experience designing for desktop and mobile devices, with a solid understanding of current best practices and trends in the digital space
• Experience building prototypes for user testing, preferably in InVision or Axure
• Experience with design tools (such as Balsamiq, Sketch, Figma, etc)
• Experience with responsive web and mobile design
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Comfortable facilitating or supporting the facilitation of design-related workshops
• A degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Computer Science, Fine Arts, Media Arts, Digital Media, or any related field

Nico to have

Experience working in the Financial industry specifically with Wealth Management is an asset
General understanding of HTML/CSS (able to produce web-ready assets and designs)
Familiarity with web analytics
